Kenshi Yonezu’s “IRIS OUT” continues to rule the Billboard Japan Hot 100, logging its 14th week atop the chart.
After NHK MUSIC shared the segment of the 34-year-old hitmaker performing the Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc theme on New Year Eve’s Kohaku Uta Gassen on its YouTube for a limited time, the video was made available again on his official account recently. The move drew significant attention and fueled week-over-week gains of 124% in streaming and 147% in video views for the track. The Kohaku performance video is currently available on Yonezu’s official YouTube channel alongside footage from his performance of “Sayonara, Mata Itsuka!” from the same annual music extravaganza in 2024.
At No. 2 is HANA’s “ROSE,” up two notches from last week. Streaming rises to 123% of the prior frame, while video climbs to 172%, marking a second consecutive week of gains. Holding at No. 3 is the seven-member girl group’s “Blue Jeans,” which also marks gains for a second weeks straight, with streaming up to 119% and video to 129%.
Two songs debut inside the top 10 this week. SHOW-WA’s third single “Tokyo Junction” sells 107,371 copies to secure a career-high No. 4 on the Japan Hot 100. King Gnu’s “AIZO,” written as the opening theme for the TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 (Culling Game arc, Part 1), launches at No. 6, hitting No. 1 for downloads, No. 12 for streaming, No. 39 for radio airplay and No. 51 for video.
The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.
